about Katie

Katie M. Zeigler is a writer and professor of English at Diablo Valley College.  She holds a BA and MA in English from Stanford University and completed post-graduate coursework in British Literature at Oxford University. She has worked with a wide variety of students, guiding and supporting them throughout the college essay writing process. As a writing professor and as a published writer of fiction and non-fiction, she brings a solid background in craft and creativity to her students. Zeigler believes that all students have spectacular life stories to tell, and it is her role to work with students to locate those stories and tell them to the best of their abilities.
